March Vehicle Maintenance Tips
Sometimes it feels like Spring is never going to get here in Ohio. Winter can be tough on both you and your vehicle. Getting ahead on your Spring vehicle maintenance list can help get you into the Spring Spirit! March is a great time to start.
Here are our recommended maintenance items:
Fluids: Spring is an excellent time for an oil change if you haven’t had one recently, and top off other fluids as needed. Check and top off oil, coolant, brake fluid, and transmission fluid.
Emergency Kit: Restock items like jumper cables, flashlights, and first-aid kit necessities.

Here are our recommended maintenance items:
1. Deep Clean Your Car
2. Battery
3. Windshield Wipers
4. Tires
5. Belts & Hoses
6. Inspect your A/C
Give your vehicle a thorough cleaning, inside and out. Be sure to wash the undercarriage to remove leftover salt and winter grime, and inspect for rust.
Winter cold can weaken your battery. Check the terminals for corrosion and test it to ensure it’s running at optimal power.
Ice, snow, and salt throughout the winter season can damage your windshield wipers. Replace worn wiper blades and fill washer fluid.
Cold-to-warm temperature swings cause pressure fluctuations in your tires. Check tire pressure and tread depth, and inspect for any hidden damage from salt, potholes, or winter’s cold.
Cold, snow, and salt can make rubber brittle and prone to cracking, and as temperatures heat up, failure is accelerated. Check all of your belts & hoses to prevent warmer-weather breakdowns.
After months of little to no use, your vehicle’s A/C system may not be up to its full capacity. Schedule an inspection to ensure the system is ready to handle the milder spring temperatures efficiently.
Additional Spring Checks:
Clean or Replace Air Filters : Spring pollen and dust can clog air filters. Check and replace them if dirty to maintain efficient airflow and improve fuel economy.
